Basic concepts of rotator cuff strengthening, with emphasis on the importance of scapular positioning regardless of what position the elbow/shoulder is in. While this is basic, it is a fundamental concept that many do incorrectly, and thus results in a plateau in your rehab/strengthening program. Don't be a statistic!
We have personal experience with this one! Having had multiple shoulder injuries and super tight rotator cuffs we have used this stretch in our weekly routines to help prevent shoulder injury and stay on the mats longer!
