What size should I get? Do they run true to size?

As our fabric is more durable and supportive than many other brands on the market, this can sometimes give the feel of a tighter fit. Therefore we recommend sizing up when compared to other brands.

Our shorts also have a more modern tailored fit that contours the leg so in some instances depending on body type, you may need to size up. The short waistband runs true to size.

Nation Athletic was founded by grapplers for grapplers. Our founder started training Jiu Jitsu after a hip replacement meant he could not compete any longer in Muay Thai. Because of The many styles, techniques, and positions of Jiu-Jitsu. Marc the Nation Athletic founder fell in love with the sport as it allowed him to continue his martial arts journey despite his physical limitations.

After several years of training the COVID pandemic hit which was where Nation Athletic was born. After being fired from his corporate job Marc decided to put all of his savings into building the brand and spent the time during lockdown learning design, product production, and digital marketing. He also met some of the first Nation Athletic athletes: the Latin Samurai and Luis Cabrera. At this point Nation Athletic was being run out of a tiny apartment in Queens and the basement of a small dance studio where Marc and the team would train, have photo shoots developing the first ever product.

Since then Marc has always made it a mission to support up-and-coming athletes rather than rely on expensive superstar sponsorship contracts or manufactured influencer marketing. As these felt disingenuous, Nation Athletic prides itself on being a brand for grapplers by grapplers and the everyday athletes working a 9-to-5, still managing to balance work, family, and training.

What’s the return/exchange policy if it doesn’t fit?

If something doesn't fit we have an exchange program and for less than $2 our shipping insurance covers all of the costs for returning or exchanging an item.
